The brand handed the remote of a Volvo FMX, dubbed the toughest truck weve ever built, to the youngster and let her maneuver around an obstacle course. The results are off-road gold, with Sophie crashing through buildings and, distracted by a drone camera, flipping the truck down a ravine. Points to Volvo and agency Forsman & Bodenfors for going against the grain and choosing a girl, who clearly has a future in demolition derby. As with the Harvey Nichols spot, this ad for Mentos NOWMints leans heavily on its visuals to carry the comedy. And do they ever. The scenario is a cute first date thats likely building up to a smooch. Its all hearts and flowers and butterflies, until an errant stuffed bunny ruins everything. The brand and its agency, BBH London, sure know how to illustrate its little moments of pleasure tagline.
